OUR HISTORY
Two men who had a common interest in motorcycles started this endeavor in 2005. These two young men decided it would be good to share their passion and enthusiasm with other like-minded individuals. This was the beginning of what would later be known as the Ghostface Ryderz MC. After signing on a few friends, the group decided to settle on a name and designed their logo. Ultimately they determined a need existed that far outweighed their desire to only ride; perhaps they could collectively bring about some changes into their communities.
While putting together the bylaws, the group (who now called themselves Ghostface Ryderz, Inc., incorporating in 2006) seized an opportunity to mentor to the youth in their immediate area, specifically, a young man who had been the victim of a violent criminal act and needed some help to continue his studies. Out of their own pockets and straight from their hearts, this dedicated group of men and women, paid for tuition and books to keep this youngster in college. This single act of kindness further convinced the group they had a higher purpose for existing and an obligation to dispel the myth that all “bikers” were “bad.”
Ghostface Ryderz, Inc. is made up of military members, policemen, accountants, insurance salesmen, nurses, graduate students and other professionals. Ultimately they decided the work they were doing was as important to them as the riding, a decision to incorporate and really legitimize their efforts as a non-profit was made. That is why this organization is NOT a motorcycle club, but a nonprofit business that utilizes its membership to complete community based service projects.
One of the founding members of the Ghostface Ryderz, Inc. was instrumental in bringing Jaycee on board; who eventually became the CEO/Public Relations Officer. His no nonsense approach to organization and his ability to lead is what kept the group grounded and moving forward, even after the visionaries had lost interest. He designed the website www.ghostfaceryderz.com and it was Jaycee who was instrumental in developing the hierarchy within the organization that allows for the state branches to be included in the entire decision making and the inner workings of the group.
